TH31 The New York Times Building: Vision, Collaboration, and Innovation HSW

To ensure that the design of the New York Times Building provided a new standard of comfort, efficiency, and sustainability, the design team integrated innovative green features, materials, mechanical and lighting systems, and advanced technology to create an exceptional signature building, unlike any other in the United States. The building treads lightly on the natural environment while supporting the needs of a 21st century workplace.

Learning Objectives:
  • Examine successful approaches to working together with diverse team members, disciplines, and design firms to create great projects that tread lightly on the environment and support overall project goals and values
  • Name new and innovative high performance systems incorporated into Class-A office buildings
  • Summarize the variety of the building's unique and innovative sustainable features
