The profession is quickly becoming more complex. Does this change how we mentor our emerging professionals in the practice of architecture? How do we capture the energy, potential, and optimism of a graduating architecture student and still educate them on the myriad facets that make up our profession? How does traditional practice stay profitable, productive, and educate our young professionals while keeping up with the new demands of architecture, the economy, and society?
Learning Objectives:
- Demonstrate an awareness, understanding, and requisite skills of effective communication that is necessary to educate young professionals on the benefits of internship
- Demonstrate an ability to interpret information, think critically, analyze problems, make complex decisions, and evaluate your actions to diminish the chasm between the academy and practice
- Demonstrate your knowledge of critical and creative thinking by developing a mentorship program for new graduates, emerging professionals, and seasoned members for their specific situation
