Through case studies, examine the steps required to properly apply and understand the International Building Code (IBC,starting with the initial client contact. This will be an updated version of the previously presented seminars, The IBC: A Step-by-Step Process and A Walk Through the Building Code.

Learning Objectives:
  • Implement a detailed process for undertaking a code evaluation for any building
  • Use a checklist format to understand what elements of a building the code affects and items to be aware of in designing a building for code compliance
  • Explain the major concepts of the 2006 International Building Code in a step-by-step process for designing and applying the code
