TH61 Green Boston: A Comprehensive Urban Strategy HSW

The Boston Green Building Standard is the country's first comprehensive zoning regulation that will require all development in Boston that is more than 50,000 square feet to meet minimum green standards based on the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED standards. The zoning change is just one part of Boston's comprehensive Climate Action Plan at the city scale, dealing with energy efficiencies of the city's infrastructure, operation, and practices to reduce the city's annual emission of greenhouse gases.

  • Summarize interdisciplinary approaches to implementing urban sustainability, for and beyond single buildings
