This off-site preconvention work session convenes in the AIA award-winning Genzyme headquarters, renowned for its innovative sustainable design. A panel composed of the owner, architect, and builder will engage attendees in a discussion of the project. Attendees will then be engaged in a discussion with a panel of three owners committed to sustainable design as a corporate strategy: Genzyme, Kaiser Permanente, and Bank of America.
Learning Objectives:
- Examine and discuss an AIA award-winning corporate headquarters that has been designed and operated in accordance with the highest level of sustainable design
- Engage in a discussion with the owner, designer, and builder focusing on sustainable design as a team effort
- Use sustainable design as a corporate strategy and engage in a dialog with owners committed to this strategy
