How to Pass the ARE 4.0: Structural Systems focuses on key elements that candidates must understand in order to pass the Structural Systems section of the ARE 4.0 including general structures, lateral forces, and structural layout. This session is an important study component for the ARE 4.0.
Learning Objectives:
- Apply concepts to building planning, including spatial organization, functional response, building efficiency, and code requirements
- Apply concepts to building technology, including energy concepts, structural, mechanical, building assemblies, code requirements, and design intent
- Apply concepts to site planning, including land use, legal restrictions, orientation, solar, wind, views, access, circulation, and vegetation
