E02 Dining at the Firms: CBT/Childs Bertman Tseckares
05/14/2008, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

110 Canal Street (Orange Line-North Station)

Located in the heart of Bulfinch Triangle, this 38,000-square-foot office includes space for more than 220 staff on five floors of a historic warehouse building originally built for the American Express Company. When designing the office space, CBT sought to preserve existing historic elements of the building while adding contemporary details that harmonized with its industrial character. Conceived as an open loft environment, many historic interior elements were retained, and a unique combination of materials was used for the furniture and finishes. For more information on CBT, visit www.cbtarchitects.com.

CBT is a professional design firm providing services in architecture, urban design, and interior design. Founded in 1967, the firm's practice ranges from multifamily residential structures and developments to major office towers and urban district renewals to a host of academic campus facilities and corporate interiors. More than 175 awards recognize the firm's excellence and creativity in the design.

Discover how the firm understands design as resolution between the rich context in which we work and the modern possibilities of uses, technologies, and materials. Its philosophy drives a design process that values exploration and the contributions of multiple voices because the best design solutions are the result of thoughtful collaboration.

After dinner, enjoy a stroll along the nearby Rose Kennedy Greenway.
