Architecture relies on a distributed workforce, including hired and contingent staff within the traditional office, on-site construction administrators, telecommuters, and traveling managers/executives. Methods for maintaining deliverables and service quality will be the focus of this program, featuring best practices for managing distance communication and human resources tools for distributed staff hiring and retention.

Learning Objectives:
  • Share and measure best practices for existing mobile workforce systems and solutions for large and small organizations as well as gain a better understanding of the tools and techniques for developing a mobile, dynamic design workforce
  • Use case studies and lessons learned as future migration paths toward a virtually connected architecture practice and map a current and future state model for the creation and management of a successful and sustainable distributed workforce
  • Identify risk and reward maps for employers with a growing distributed workforce and employees who are operating in the realm of the always-connected employer
