TH22 Multigenerational Leadership Roles for Architects

Rural towns and metropolitan areas in Nebraska are undergoing rapid suburban and urban change. Necessary to encompass the range of issues involved in the context of the Heartland are diverse leaders for education and outreach. Panelists will present a series of case studies examining multigenerational leadership roles architects have in design and sustainability for positive civic and community change for all people across this region.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify the value young architects have as leaders in academics and professional practice to promote and foster community change and the skills necessary for leadership
  • Demonstrate the goals of leadership in sustainable design for civic life and professional practice by comparing how architects are taking leadership roles in innovative partnerships to affect and change communities
  • Compare architects' leadership roles to inspire change through outreach and education by assisting people in constructing a vision for their community through exercises to formulate local and regional agendas
