| E56 Dining at the Firms: The Architectural Team 05/17/2008, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM The Architectural Team is designing some of Boston's most exciting and prominent developments. Our current and recent work include Battery Wharf, a new mixed-use luxury waterfront development in Boston's historic North End; the Carruth, a new transit-oriented development in Dorchester; and the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center of Boston. Visit www.architecturalteam.com to learn more about TAT. We welcome you to dine with us at our office, the Commandant's home located within the former Chelsea Naval Hospital site. After dinner, relax on our veranda and enjoy the views of Boston and the Bunker Hill Monument, or join us for a walk through the Admiral's Hill neighborhood. We'll pass the Chelsea Naval Hospital, built in 1832, which was the oldest naval hospital in continuous service in the United States at the time of its closing in 1974. It was also where Ensign John F. Kennedy recuperated from combat wounds suffered during World War II. The tour will also take us by the former Marine Hospital, built in 1847, and the Chelsea Naval Hospital Park, a 20-acre waterfront site that serves the local community. This dinner includes shuttle transportation. E56 Saturday, 6:30-9 p.m., $125 |
