Nearly every commercial design project involves acquisition or relocation of furniture. As clients look to architects for more comprehensive assistance and expertise, management of the furnishings procurement process becomes a key project service. A clear understanding and ability to oversee this process can lead to expanded services beyond the standard design contract and become an additional source of revenue for any size firm.

Learning Objectives:
  • Demonstrate the importance of FF&E in creating inspiring spaces
  • Review how furniture and furnishings can affect LEED ratings and review current resources available for green furniture
  • Review sample forms and handouts used to provide FF&E services and review common mistakes and pitfalls of providing such services
Speakers: Diana M. H. Brenner, AIA, IIDA, IFMA; Julia Monk, AIA, IIDA, LEED; and Tricia Moore, LEED AP, IIDA

Provider: AIA Interior Architecture
