| TP04 Louis Kahn at Yale University HSW 05/14/2008, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Learning Units: 7.00-Bus and Walking Tour Training Units: 1.00-Training Area 17 (Historic Restoration) We travel to New Haven to visit two Louis I. Kahn buildings with special guest lecturer Carter Wiseman, author of Louis I. Kahn, A Life in Architecture: Beyond Time and Space. Our first stop is the recently restored Yale University Art Gallery, a landmark building from 1953, recently restored in 2006 by the Polshek Partnership of New York City. Our next and final stop will be the Yale University Center for British Art, the last building Kahn designed and home to the most comprehensive collection of British Art outside the United Kingdom, presented to the university by Paul Mellon. Time for viewing the collections will be allowed; lunch included. This tour is offered in partnership with AIA Connecticut. Lunch is included. Learning Objectives:
