Discover techniques to describe the designs you dream. Come and find inspiration to reinvigorate your design skills. Several conceptual contexts, including green design, will be examined for their potential to create more coherent designs. Emphasis will be placed on verbal skills for visual thinkers and the use of a design concept as a decision tool. The lively interactive format assures participants will have an opportunity to practice the techniques and to learn from other's results as well.

Learning Objectives:
  • Examine barriers to creative concepts and techniques for stimulating the development of concepts using verbal (poetic), visual (observational), and analytical (relational) methods
  • Apply a concept to a program to infuse the program with greater meaning
  • Apply simple rules for using the concept as a decision-making tool
