TRAVEL INFORMATION
TTG is the AIA’s official travel agency, providing airline, train, and car rental reservations for the AIA 2008 National Convention and Design Exposition in Boston. Make your reservations online or call TTG directly, 800-388-8814 (or 312-527-7300 for international callers), between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday.
AIR TRAVEL The AIA has partnered with the following airlines to provide transportation to the AIA 2008 National Convention and Design Exposition. Plan to book early for the best airfare discounts. All fares are based on availability; the lowest fare will always be quoted.To receive the best rates, be sure to inform the airline agent of the discount code.
American Airlines American Airlines is offering a 5 percent discount off the lowest applicable published air fare.To receive discounted fares to Boston from May 12 through May 20, 2008, visit www.aa.com. or contact the American Airlines Meeting Services Desk, 800-433-1790, and reference Discount Code A2158AK. Zone fare pricing is also available; however, you must call the AA Meeting Services Desk. Zone fares cannot be booked online. A $10 (USD) ticketing fee will be charged for tickets purchased via the phone or $15 (USD) for tickets purchased at the airport. International attendees should call the local reservations number and refer to Discount Code A2158AK.
Delta Air Lines Fly Delta Air Lines and enjoy exclusive discounts! Discounts vary depending on the cabin and available airfare level. Avoid airline or agency booking fees, skip lines at the airport by printing your boarding pass in advance, and manage your flight itinerary.
To make your Delta Air Lines travel reservations, visit Delta.com For Business Travel. The applicable discount will automatically apply and the total airfare noted will include all taxes and fees. Note: If you go to www.delta.com directly you will not receive the AIA discount.
TRAIN SERVICE Amtrak will offer a 10 percent discount off the lowest available fare to Boston from May 12 through May 20, 2008 (no other discounts will apply). To make a reservation, call Amtrak, 800-872-7245. Make sure you reference Special Amtrak Fare Code X91Q-926 when making your reservation.
DISCOUNT CAR RENTAL Avis is the official car rental company of the AIA 2008 National Convention and Design Exposition. For reservations, call Avis, 800-331-1600, or reserve your car online. Reference the Avis Worldwide Discount Number A991499 to receive discounted rates from May 8 through May 24, 2008. AIA discounted rates begin at $38 per weekday, $144 per week, or $30 per weekend day (weekend daily rates are available from noon Thursday through Monday at 11:59 p.m.) and include unlimited mileage. Rates do not include any state or local surcharges, tax, optional coverages, or gas refueling charges.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION Logan International Airport is conveniently located two miles outside the city center, with several convenient public transportation options from the airport to downtown, including train, bus, shared ride van, and taxi. Visit www.massport.com/logan for complete information on all of your transportation options.
MBTA SUBWAY AND BUS The Silver Line route SL1 (Logan Airport/South Station via Waterfront) bus rapid transit service is your best direct connection to and from the airport and South Station.With drop off and pick up in front of the airport terminals, it’s the most convenient option. There’s no shuttle transfer and plenty of room to store your baggage. The Silver Line SL1 runs from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., seven days a week.
Take the MBTA Blue Line to and from the newly renovated Airport Station and board free Massport shuttle buses to all airline terminals. The Blue Line is your best connection to and from the MBTA Orange and Green Lines at Government Center Station. The Blue Line runs approximately 6 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., seven days a week.
