Explore Cambridge's newest neighborhood, positioned at the intersection of two great 200-year-old cities. This exceptional location offered design teams a rare opportunity to apply good urban design strategy, beginning with a clean slate and excellent access to public transportation.
Construction of the first three buildings began in early 2005 after eight years of planning and community meetings. Be one of the first to explore the tallest residential building in Cambridge, which arrives on the heels of renewed interest in downtown living in and around Boston.
We begin with an overview of the history of recent residential development in the area, followed by a tour lead by ADD Inc of the new 22-story luxury apartment building with magnificent views of the Charles River and Boston's Historic Beacon Hill. We will then proceed to the Sierra and Tango Residences at NorthPoint, a new mixed-use, transit-oriented neighborhood on 52 acres of former railway yards designed by CBT Architects. As the first components of the overall development, the two residential buildings in their park-like setting embody the master plan vision of a verdant, pedestrian-oriented community.
